ABSTRACT
From an organisation
by functions to an organisation by processes
Within lots of companies the organisational
structure consists of traditional working
departments, where all the employees are
assembled in the same division. These last
generally are: sale and purchase department,
production, research and development department,
marketing, human resources, distribution.
Finance. In the context of an organisation
by functions people are engaged into different
departments and, in general, have their
career always in the same functional division.
Companies by functions are generally established
in order to satisfy managements' requests,
while one process-aimed company fulfils
customers' expectations. Sooner or later
companies will realise it is necessary for
them changing their internal organisation.
Being aimed to processes is required by
any company that wants surviving within
a more and more competitive Market.
