Knowledge Management and its assessment (ABSTRACT)

When you are going to make a long journey, before getting into your own car, you should wonder: how's my car working? Which are its present conditions? Will it be able to put up with a long journey? Such as a good traveller, even a Manager, before starting Knowledge management proceedings in his own Company, will have to examine carefully the current situation.
In this particular case, and within the Company context, it's necessary giving right answers to these important questions: What about my Company's knowledge? Which are employees' competencies? And the present performance? Only a job assessment procedure and the availement of a monitoring and updating system make the Management able to steer a Company in the right direction…………..
