TRAINING'EFFECTIVENESS EVALUATION:
THE KIRKPATRICK MODEL'S FOUR LEVELS. (BARBARA
CIANI)
This model has been acknowledged as a paradigm
for drawing up whichever model of training's
evaluation. It includes four levels:
1. Reaction: during this phase all the trainees'
and tutors' reactions are collected and analyzed,
by the provision of a questionnaire, comprising
questions about the importance of teaching method's
objectives , arising interest and involvement,
making exercises effective.
2. Learning: in this phase the evaluation' subject
is improvement in competencies, ability and
skills resulting from the training project;
3. Application: this phase is a follow-up and
during it analyzing how students try to apply
their knowledge to their working environment,
is required;
4. Business results: this last level is useful
in order to evaluate the training impact on
organization, body or enterprise the student
works in.
